To have automated 'content' be put out so we all have something to do to kill the time until the Campaign. This is also why the Devs decided to create and release the Weekly Challenge Map system. (Which got delayed due to Bug Fixes and having to address all the 'false' reports) Since they had to rush to Early Access we need to wait for the Campaign to be done, which is slated for a Spring/Summer timeframe.

The original plan was to have a 'Closed' Beta of Survival -> Add Campaign(The major game mode) -> Steam Early Access -> Fixes + Feedback changes -> Official Release.
